Transport securing by strapping or stretching alone is often inadequate to meet the requirements and must therefore be supplemented by additional protective measures. Sensitive goods and surfaces, in particular, as well as outer packaging, often require special protection, whether during the actual securing of the goods to be transported or during the further shipment of the goods. This additional product protection can take the form of edge protection, top boards or side boards. Another possible solution is to put a squared timber in place underneath the product to provide protection and allow further transportation. All these ways to protect goods can be provided automatically and integrated into the packaging process. Manual tasks that used to be required in the packaging process are no longer necessary and make packaging more efficient.
