“Environmentally-friendly packaging”—this year, the FachPack took place in Nuremberg from September 24 – September 26. During the three fair days, around 45,000 visitors came to the trade fair known for packaging, where they had the opportunity to explore around 1,600 exhibitors in 12 exhibition halls.
As the Becker Group has been focusing on sustainability and general resource efficiency in packaging for several years now, we spent recent months preparing ourselves for the upcoming trade fair with great anticipation. At the joint booth with Packsize, our goal was to show customers the advantages of customized packaging concepts, based on years of tried and tested machines from the Becker modular system. At this year’s Becker booth, the focus was on cardboard packaging, robotics and transport goods securement.
So, for the first time we decided to present a complete process at FachPack covering all three mentioned fields. Starting with the storage and feeding of the fanfold corrugated cardboard at a second level, the box cutting with the help of the M1 from Packsize, the automatic transport of the blank for semi-automated erecting and the fully-automated sealing of the box using hot glue. The process was completed with a palletizing robot and subsequent pallet strapping. Visitors were able to experience this process live on-site, try it out and convince themselves of this resource-efficient type of packaging.
The packaging solution we presented soon turned out to be an absolute customer magnet in Hall 3. We are very excited about the enormous number of new contacts and inquiries as well as the many new challenges in special mechanical engineering!
